Reading the the JCVI statement produces some classic failures in decision making. They state there isn’t an agreed upon method for assessing direct non-health benefits, so basically ignore it. The result is that the non-health benefits and costs are set to 0. That’s right they say that missing school impacts negatively on children, but that they won’t consider it. So missing school has no marginal loss. 🤦‍♂️
