1/4 A probable factor in the failure of both Change UK and Corbyn's opponents within the Labour Party has been legacy media journalists egging them on and encouraging them to believe that their politics have far broader appeal in the country than is really the case. 2/4 Wouldn't be at all surprised if Swinson and the Lib Dems end up having a similarly chastening experience at the next election, in part because they've had their heads turned by journalists who are politically on the same page.
