So I thought Friday night is a good time to tell everyone that Ive made my peace with academia.

After 2 + 6 + 7 years in academic neuroscience - Ive finally 'leaked' out of the pipeline. My story is not very different from all the women who have left and are leaving. Along with making it that much more difficult for so many women scientists, the pandemic has thrown light on an aging, crumbling and an especially unequal system that has been unfair to a lot of its minorities.
