#GunjanSaxena is really good though, and so was Janhvi. Why isn't everyone talking about it? Very impressed by the way it looks at patriotism as a byproduct, a sidenote even, of a determined person's dreams. The way the film uses the songs to underline her love for the act of flight is great too. Even the potentially bhaari Bharat ki Beti sits well within the film's context, all thanks to Pankaj sir's underplayed, understated father role.

I postponed watching #AyyappanumKoshiyum because I thought it's just a clash of egos between two men. It is that--kind of gets a bit repetitive by the end because of this, but it is also so many other things. Most of them good. SPOILERS. I loved its moral relativism. How it's important to consider someone's place in the society, to better contextualize the crime they've committed. A guy steals gunpowder, but is released because there is a reason behind it. That's not how law works, but art can be utopian too.

Best performances 2018 (Telugu): A Thread. Chronological. Anushka—#Bhaagamathie.

Chanchala needed a performance that depicts strength while still leaving space for vulnerability, and Anushka gave it her best. Not to forget the formidable titular character.

Keeping aside the fact that I’m a woman who watched a film that is being called “progressive”, I will talk about it later. Let’s discuss the writing and dialogues of #AravindaSametha as Guruji is a matala manthrikudu and whatnot.

Thread. SPOILERS!! The film’s primary conflict revolves around the man who is at the top level of factionalism food chain. The idea is to try peace, since war hasn’t worked for either parties. Not new, many films have explored this, but only Mirchi comes to mind.

Telugu cinema heroine and the things she finds irresistible: A Thread. Blackmail. Because why not? I mean, if a guy is willing to use the pictures he took of you without my permission to get you to kiss him and stuff, he must love you only. #govinduduandarivadele
