On with my attempt to "put my money where my mouth is", I have long been a @Greens supporter and voted for the party in the past but have always avoided becoming a member because of:
a) cost
b) social stigma perception of having "chosen a side"
c) undisclosed work reasons

My own pensioner mother chose for her own reasons to hide the fact that she was a member of @AustralianLabor from me for years.
I want the party to reflect on that.
With the climate crisis as it is and *gestures wildly* political action is essential
