For the past 2-3 days district Madurai, Cuddalore, Sivagangai, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai are getting thunderstorms and today too thunderstorm are expected across North TN, South TN and Delta belt and even Chennai will get rains. On 10th and 11th August - These thunderstorms will be on widespread areas. Chennai and KTC belt too will join the party this time. So next two days, do carry your raincoat or umbrella with you in evenings and night.

Depression crossed right over Chennai at around 4.30 to 5.30 pm and now lies Kancheepuram - Ranipet district as per Satellite fix, Heavy rains are seen over North Interior TN districts ImageImageImage Widespread rains are seen in Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Tirupattur, Tiruvallur Western areas, Chittor and even parts of Krishnagiri has got rains. This will continue throughout the night too in Vellore and surrounding districts.

Good morning all, we can see the clouds have now cleared Karaikkal - nagai belt and shifts to Cuddalore -Chennai belt. The Depression is still far away but once it takes W-NW movement, the meaty western bands will batter Cuddalore - Chennai - Sriharikota belt.
