This photo was taken from outside through a gap in the window. It is a leopard and a dog stuck together since this morning inside the toilet of a house in Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada district. I am told the leopard escaped at 2 pm and the dog is alive! Not the window* it is taken from the top by removing the asbestos sheet. The forest department tried to catch the leopard by removing the sheet and tranquilising it but the leopard escaped.

The dog and the leopard were inside the toilet from at least 7 am till 2 pm.

Hello, Bengaluru. I took the new airport train from Cantonment Station yesterday evening at 5:55 pm. On-board I met Rahul, a 27 year old aircraft maintanence engineer who had a flight at 8:30 pm to Chennai. He was the only passenger on the train who was going to the airport. He was nervous along the way because the train was slower than schedule and there was confusion overall about the new route. The train reached the airport halt station at 7:12 pm, 1 hour and 17 minutes after it left Cantonment Station. (22 minutes slower than schedule).

Locals and MLAs in two cremation grounds in Mangaluru opposed them last night. First, the plan was to hold the cremation in Pachanady but locals gathered there in the night and eventually Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Bharat Shetty pacified the crowd saying the cremation will not be held there at any cost. (The MLA is a medical doctor).

This is the small room in Shaheen School in Bidar where students were taken to for questioning for the fourth (yes, fourth) time by police in plainclothes. I was in the school when police asked students where they practiced, who taught them dialogues, why was a flag used. (1/n) I asked the officer (Bidar DSP Basaveshwara Hira) why it had become necessary to come back to the school for the fourth time. "We are carrying out investigation as per procedure and we cannot comment on it now. We are collecting information about the play," he said.
