Large-cap vs Blue chip stocks

•Large-cap stocks are the top 100 companies by market cap. (But size ≠ quality) Many lack stable profits or strong fundamentals. In fact, only 16% consistently outperform the Nifty; over 80% of large-caps are not investment-friendly.

•Blue chip stocks are the cream of large & midcap stocks. They have a proven track record of generating free cash flow in both good and bad economic times, funding growth and acquisitions, and holding dominant market share.

They are aspirational investments, reliable, but often command premium valuations.

Step 1: SELL based on your emergencies & goal timeline

Ask yourself:
👉 Do I need money for an emergency?
If YES → Withdraw the amount needed.

👉 Has my goal timeline arrived (home down payment, Marriage, buying a car)?
If YES → Exit the amount needed

If NO → Stay invested and move to Step 2.
Don’t think about fund quality, ratings, or market conditions.

Mutual Funds

Pros
• Managed by a team of industry veterans.
• SIP automation builds discipline and enables long-term wealth creation.
• Ideal for retail investors with limited capital, time, and resources.

Cons
• Fund managers can't control timing or inflows/outflows.
• In crashes, panic redemptions force them to sell at low prices. In bull markets, they're often forced to buy expensive stocks.
• For curious investors, it is like a black box. You don't know why a stock is picked.

📌 If valuations are low, they will rise eventually

Everything else? Just noise.

3-6 lacs 5%
6 - 9 lacs 10%

Then how is it 0 tax for ppl under 7 lacs ?

-pay 5% tax between 3-6 lacs i.e 15k.
-pay 10% tax between 6-7 lacs ie 10 K

Total tax paid -25K
Govt will refund 25k Note - Slabs are still relevant because if u earn more than 7 lacs, then no rebate will be available and u will be charged as per d slabs with no refund

Real Estate Gives Better Returns than Stocks !

A thread 🧵 👇

In the last 40 years,

Sensex - 14 % CAGR
Real estate - 11-12% CAGR (estimates)

But why did I say Real Estate is Better then ?

👇 👇
1/6
1) Lock in
It’s easier to take out money from stocks & MF & hence we don’t stay Invested.

Real estate is comparatively less liquid & more time consuming to sell, so we stick with it & it compounds

Higher returns of stocks don’t count if we can’t stay invested
