This period leading up to the Prana Pratistha seems to be the closest experience to what the functioning of a pagan, modern civilizational state would ideally look like

That arc of modernity on our own terms, was broken due to colonization. But it may have landed somewhere close There are no parallels of witnessing powerful pagan civilisations go about their business, in recent memory. So this must seem alien to so many. Outside and sadly within India too.

But this is how it would be. Where the Gods are centre stage in public life. As a principle.

This leaves you with little more than impotent rage seeing the kind of religious targeting has happened here.
And to see that Hindu kids have played a part in getting a fellow Hindu beaten up for saying uncomfortable things against Islam by familiar suspects.
Hopeless situation. Yet another example that there is no getting away from physical targeting and violence intended to be fatal, if you say anything about X religion.

The person is marked for life and can’t escape it.

And if you knowingly push that person towards vengeful hordes, ur just vile.

There are some festive days, which just can’t be experienced from far.

Kartika Purnima at home meant being in Cuttack from the night before. And getting up at 4 am and walking with family to Mahanadi with our paper boats.
Thousands of tiny boats being set off in the water 🙂 The boats would hv incense, a Pan (betel leaf) n some flowers. And as we put the boats in water and give them a gentle push, we would say

‘ Aa ka ma boi. Pana gua thoi.
Pana Gua Tora. Masaka dharma mora’

Those who are setting off and those staying behind, both do their dharma

This blue tick for 8$ is a great social experiment.
People are ok with inequity stemming from influence and power, but not with inequity stemming from money.

A person with tremendous unaccounted power is a lesser evil (if it favours me ofcourse) than a person with decent money ‘The rich will be heard more’ is a worse position than those with a certain ideology being heard more!

Also comes with the assumption that somehow those being heard more now, will not have a significant overlap with the ‘rich’ category.

The Wire has quietly slipped this bit into their apology statement.
They were deceived by a member of the Meta investigation team.
So essentially, their reporter created a fake story and ran with it. How many more stories by him are fake? Image They have published and defended a fabricated report. Tried to tarnish a persons reputation. And are hiding this fact in the fine print while saying editorial standards were not rigorous.

A whole story (possibly more) with all evidence manufactured, is not just an editorial slip

All debates on FoE are pointless and perhaps even tone deaf. This is as black pilled as one can get. The ‘minimally decent people’ need to pay with their heads for their alleged transgressions.

Looks like the blue tick account positioning as a leading Odia civil society leader working on humane tech has deactivated his hateful alt account. Ofcourse calling women cunts shows how humane you are!! Too bad you can’t do it from your original account!! Show your true self! Middle aged men some working in civil society, some teaching architecture, positioning themselves as decent people run alt accounts here apparently calling out ‘hate’. And bring their true crass misogynist, putrid selves for display.
There is only so long you can use anonymity.

There is a bunch of these cretins who feel they are beyond facing any music even with sustained harassment.
I think this and a bunch of other things their group has been doing will make for a decent case. Iv blocked almost all of them n I do know their real names and jobs but have never crossed a line to reveal it.

They continue with the choicest of language against me which by every definition fits sexual harassment. On the street, this would lead to one tight slap on their face

Just for context on other things going on in Puri.
The ASI hs submitted a report stating that excavations within 100 metres of the temple premises has led to damage of important heritage architecture. Excavation is fr d corridor project. An impact assessment ws not done it seems I see the value in these corridors. Both in Kashi and in Puri. Temples and temple towns need to be factor in devotees and the hardships they face, to do their duty.
But this is a clear ham handed attempt by the state which shows absolute negligence for priceless heritage.

Her father is a criminal who has duped people of their money, possibly even managed a Covid scam and has stopped his daughters school!! Image Iv always stated that this seems lik a clear case of abuse. Almost child labour where a father s playing wid the life of his daughter to make money.
