I'd like to dedicate today's celebrations to community, which has best preserved served Nanakpanth despite all the displacement disparagement: #Sindhis! These pictures sent to me are from the private collection of reputed European ethnographer.
This is how Sindhis, one of the most prosperous and earliest merchant immigrants out of India, still practice their faith to the day.

-Aurangzeb became emperor in 1658 aged 40.
-Maratha resistance began shortly thereafter. He built BadshahiMosque when he thought he had vanquished Shivaji. This (not TajMahal) was grandest Muslim monument for 2 centuries!

-When was Guru Tegh Bahadur killed? 1675. That is, two years after completion of Badshahi Masjid. Read Aurangzeb's own words who Shivaji was his greatest/bravest foe!
-When did Guru Gobind form Khalsa? 1699! When Aurangzeb was 80+
-Aurangzeb fought no direct battle with Guru.
