Hi Michelle - I write to offer some thoughts on the utter buffoonery being perpetuated within the Patriot/Truther space by so-called veterans. Some are quick to reference the interplay of aspects of the US Constitution, principles of devolution, continuity of government, and continuity of operations, the Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Uniform Code of Military Justice, Presidential Executive Orders, and the like to support the spread of erroneous information in support of grifts and scams of all types or worse.
As I heard it described yesterday there are certain "walking, talking, grifting contradictions" that go relatively unchallenged. To allow this fraud to go unchecked is unwise and counterproductive to "Making America Great Again." As I have shared with you, I am an active-duty military member with over 30 years' service, I have a law degree and license, and operational deployments in support of various contingencies and Homeland Defense/Defense Support to Civil Authority missions over the past three decades. I have worked for, with, or operated in the same orbit as many of the senior military leaders the public has known over the past 30 years. I have had plenty of time to assess them all. To date, I have not been made aware of any operations/plans/activities directed by what podcasters refer to as "white hat activities."
I understand how many listeners may be drawn to fantastic stories of secret strategies, forces, and actions undertaken clandestinely by the military or the "white hats" to counter perceived wrongs committed by the cabal or the deep state. These stories may be further illuminating if aliens or breakaway civilizations are somehow incorporated. Further, if we were to take the advice of certain podcasters, all that is required is for you to merely sit back with our popcorn and "enjoy the show." I am in the camp of Space Force Chuck marveling at the absolute nonsense being foisted on Patriot/Truther community or the sobering common sense offered by Mr. Mike Gill - I can hear him saying, "Are you kidding me, you pinhead??!!!" 1.Would you really want a secret, quiet war going on in the background of your country? As JFK observed, the very word "secrecy" should be "repugnant in a free and open society." Under the U.S. Constitution, civilian control of the military is shared across all three branches of government. Ultimately, civilian control is wielded by the will of the American people as expressed through elections. While the civil-military system can respond quickly to defend the nation in times of crisis, it is designed to be deliberative to ensure that the destructive and coercive power wielded by the US armed forces is not misused. The United States is not and never will be a banana republic.
