writing this myself, but also, for anybody who needs to hear it: there is merit to writing shortfics. there is merit to writing longfics. some people enjoy both. some people have a preference for one or the other. but SOMEONE will love your style and your wordsmithery. used to beat myself up for not being able to construct lengthy plots but sometimes i just want that one scene and i don’t feel like constructing the rest.
