My judgement-
Based on the current climate of fear and the abhorrent mass response to SEEN Publishing, @CV_Dalcher was completely right to inform Waterstones.

I think Waterstones should have given a severe reprimand, but not fired Tilly as it appears a first offence... ...into a foray she didn't understand. She has apparently no idea about the threats authors face. Maybe she will now.

I think leading by example with compassion for a tweet that did not overtly state intention to destroy company property is the way forward.

Hi, David Tennant.
I supposed I'm a 'whingy little fucker' for needing a female only space after what you would call a trans woman, raped me in public after drugging me.
A trans identified male who has preyed on my friends and left me at the time, a shell of my former self. I tried taking my own life.

Or maybe, the time when a man who would fall under the trans umbrella, a self identified 'sissy', tried murdering me after multiple rapes? Am I a 'whingy little fucker' for needing a female only rape crisis center, David?

Peter, this is essential now for lesbians to associate. I was raped by what you would call a trans woman, an intact, trans identified male. 3 of my lesbian friends sexually assaulted by them, all of us need a space. We have gone back to meeting underground because of this. Are you really saying lesbians that have been raped, who only want to associate with lesbians and bi women when out for their own fucking SAFETY are bigots? Does our safety not matter? Our right to not get sexually assaulted in spaces that were once meant for us?

A #Detrans thread. Buckle up.
You know what would have helped me? Exploratory therapy. I was deeply unhappy in my body as a result of multiple eating disorders, violent partners & violent/sexual attacks (the police prosecuted one simple case of assault and left the rest)... I had the full house: Autism diagnosis, ADHD, budding lesbian but didn't know it at the time, the works. And I had NO TALK THERAPY ON MY DYSPHORIA. NONE. NOTHING. The NHS didn't even offer it to me. When I brought up transition the Drs would say "that is a topic for another time"

Camera on policies discourage young women from attending women and lesbian groups. Here is why. A thread:

If they are anorexic, detransitioned or body dysmorphic, they usually engage in 'face checking' or 'body checking' akin to Eugenia Cooney, and can't focus on the topics. Younger women with lower socioeconomic status and unable to get a decent cameraphone, those with broken phones or those frightened of invasive security measures in built into apps will also self exclude.

Every time you take the piss out of someone who is GNC you will likely be triggering alienation in a budding lesbian or gay child/adolescent. They will see that the only side they can be on is the QT one as they immediately see 'self expression' there, not 'gender ideology'.
🧵 How do I know? It's part of how it got me, a vulnerable, gender non-conforming, lesbian detransitioner.

A small #lesbian #detrans 🧵
One of the things painfully obvious now after detransitioning, is that being transmasc/trans was the ONLY acceptable way to be anywhere CLOSE to gnc lesbian in presentation. Butch has all but vanished, subsumed in the queer landscape... Lesbian becomes subsumed by pseudomaleness, and in some cases, sterilized, for ANY scrap of legitimacy. It suits patriarchy pefectly to have lesbians transed into pseudostraights.

This is why lesbian visibility matters so much now, possibly more than ever, in lesbian history.
