The pandemic had a huge impact on how we see the world, but it didn’t change everyone in the same way. The Gen Zers who were younger at the peak of the pandemic had a different experience. Most of them spent a year of high school or middle school without any socializing.

In a listening session last night, young people confirmed what was clearly the DNC’s thesis in bringing creators to the convention: many watched the convention via clips on social rather than cable/by reading traditional news. 🧵
"It was interesting to really watch it in the time of TikTok, I think, and see different clips of it show up throughout the next day. I had several friends tell me, 'you know, I'm not going to watch it. I'll just find the clips on social media tomorrow,'" said one 24-year-old.
