With so many fans, why are they a financial basket case? Why have these clubs achieved so little in so long?

A lot of bleating in Sevconia about the "unfair" financial advantage enjoyed by Celtic.

Some numbers might help put this in context.
For a start, Sevco's revenue was almost exactly the same as Celtic's last season. Image But the Sevco story cannot be told in a 1-2 year snapshot. Sevco is all about a reckless financial gamble to stop Celtic's 10IAR.

Yet even the rewards of succeeding were not enough to change the precarious position in which years of profligate spending have placed the young club

First IIRC was @barcabhoy1 on the Huddleboard around 2003/04.
In April 2010 there was a flurry of posts around the same time on various boards as the story ripped through Scottish banking circles. First of these was @celticrumours but it emerged independently on several sites. Seeing this triggered a nostalgia wave. The following is just another trip down memory lane.
A new club has formed to replace Rangers but on the surface very little in Scottish football has changed. Just last week, we saw new Rangers accused of defrauding their own fans.

Rummaging through the archives. Here are the relevant extracts from the 5WA regarding Sevco and its duties to the SP(F)L. It all seems straightforward and innocent enough. But wait- there is more. Thread. In the 5 Way Agreement, Sevco agree to the pick up football liabilities and responsibility for the actions of Rangers.

Seems reasonable if everyone is to pretend Sevco are Rangers. Sevco can be punished for SPL rule-breaking by Rangers including Murray's EBT scheme.
