Usman Khan and others had a history of violent and extreme ideological beliefs. Often people try to legitimise some of their narrative e.g. grievances and delegitimise others parts e.g. justification for violence against civilians. That is irrelevant in order to understand this 2

Many reappear at trial, 10's of thousands in jail, most can't travel, many in jail and face deatg penalty for their jobs e.g. photographers, groups sentenced to death 15 at a time in one incident
