I'm struggling with what I saw and heard today.

I'm an immigrant. My parents are immigrants. I can honestly say that the mentality of "everything we do will be viewed critically and nothing we do will ever be good enough" is one that is very very real. /1 With his words and brash, Doug Ford is perpetuating the myth that immigrants need to "work hard", and we need to do so to justify our existence.

Only us, immigrants. We're the ones who need to be called out because we don't belong here otherwise.
