Recently, in it's annual wrap up of fatal police shootings, the Washington Post's @Marisa_Lati @dataeditor & @jenburkejenkins made statements that should make reasonable people question the honesty & accuracy of the Fatal Force Database, as well as the author's integrity.
Regarding the use of body cams, the authors regurgitated this observation, without question. Surely any logical person can assess that if scrutiny of conduct doesn't produce change or proof of misconduct, it's possible there was nothing wrong with the conduct to begin with, yes?

According to @w_h_thompson, so far this year, 787 people have been murdered in Chicago. That's 308 more than were murdered in 2019.
82%, or 254, were black. That's 254 more dead black men, women and children than before it was decided to defund and defame the police. 1/
Of these, just 7 were killed by police, less than 1% of the total number of homicides. In fact, this year CPD has shot the second-lowest number of people of the last decade. 2/

We use it so rarely I have multiple unopened cartridges.

True story....
Several years ago, I had a meeting at a prominent Los Angeles building. When entering the parking garage, I was asked to open my trunk for a security search. I popped it from the driver's seat, thinking nothing of it.
And then....
I had a profound OH SH*T moment.
It was a Monday after my drill weekend. The contents of my trunk consisted of a combat helmet, body armor, M4 rifle magazines, and several military bags.
