Does Kathleen Stock's presence on @SussexUni campus give trans and nonbinary students reason to feel unsafe? Let's look at the evidence:
🧵
1/12 Back in 2018, @docstockk emailed her Philosophy students, to reassure them on this very point. She said:
"I make a practice of using preferred pronouns and names. I would never discriminate against any student for any aspect of their identity, including being trans."

This is what I'd say if I were a Labour frontbencher being asked "is it transphobic to say only women have cervixes?"

First of all, I want to say that I don't think my friend and colleague Rosie Duffield is transphobic, and I'm very sorry that she doesn't feel able to join 1/n us at Conference this year. I like Lloyd, but this article is a mess. Here's a long and detailed thread explaining why, mostly in pictures. Really happy to meet in person to discuss it, @lloyd_rm. /1 First two paragraphs were so full of inaccuracies I had to annotate them twice. Sunday Times article is here if you want to check what's actually been reported: thetimes.co.uk/article/boris-… /2

Just started reading the @UKLabour manifesto and there's so much great stuff in there! I'm going to pull out some of my favourite bits as I go along and put them in this thread. Might turn out quite long! 1/n @UKLabour Fracking ban
