I did a podcast interview this morning about LGBTQ+ inclusive faith communities. She asked what I thought about churches that say they welcome LGBTQ+ people but don't do same-sex weddings or have LGBTQ+ people in leadership.

I'm not sure she expected that earful. Short answer: not only is that not welcoming, it's intentionally deceitful and they need to reckon with the harm they're causing to the people they claim to welcome.

Police are firing off live rounds a block from my apartment. Who exactly do I call when it's the cops terrorizing the neighborhood? I think I was unclear. The reason they are shooting live rounds is allegedly to test the shot-spotter system. They've been doing it all over downtown for almost 24 hours. But I have questions hours of police gunfire in residential areas nonetheless.
