The @Richmond_FC celebrates its birthday today - Feb 20.
But how much do we know about that day, and the events leading up to and after.

Here we go.... @Richmond_FC 1/ The club recognises its birth as Feb 20, 1885.
Two years earlier on - Jan 26. 1883, a Richmond Football Senior Club was formed with James Charles as secretary.
In March 1883 the guernsey was to be dark blue with white band across shoulder, socks dark blue with horizontal band.

With the @RichmondWomens team about to make club history, let's bring to the fore those women of Tigerland's past - the famous, and not so famous - who in their own ways, helped bring the club to this historic moment. @RichmondWomens 1. When she died in 1951, MONICA MANZIE was eulogised as the 'Mother of Richmond Football Club' for her continued passion and support, even when he husband Andrew left Richmond as secretary for the Melb F.C
Her residence was the social gathering place for players/supporters.
