I got this notif today and it is yet another piece of evidence for a pet theory of mine: that quiet, seemingly effortless popularity on the internet is the ultimate echelon of fame in a saturated world & will always be hierarchized over try-hard popularity.

Quick theory thread: Image First, of course, this is clearly PR. Paps mostly always are called by celeb teams themselves, so this is likely her trying to be documented as charitable, but that too "effortlessly" charitable – she's not doing this for the cameras, in fact she'd prefer if they weren't there.

Orry put me in his story so here’s a thread of some of the references and details I noticed in his appearance on Koffee With Karan, including psychology, art history, and pop culture theories –
Image 1. It’s a funny detail that Orry enters the show at the 3-minute mark and his segment ends exactly at the 18-minute point. I don’t think this was planned but he has 15 minutes total of screen time which is very apt for an episode that discusses ‘15 mins of fame’ as a concept 🤪 Image

Lots of discourse about Archies and its young actors, but what really caught my eye was the seriously amazing supporting cast of adults – most of them faces you recognise but don’t remember exactly where from.

Here’s a quick thread on them (with some VERY cool surprises 🤯): Satyajit Sharma acts as Hal Cooper, a very likeable role as Betty’s father and local bookseller. Most of us will remember him as Basant from Balika Vadhu 🤪

I also REALLY liked his stint as Karan’s father in Made in Heaven.
(MIH is gonna come up quite a few times btw. Read on)

The most pivotal moment in my quizzing journey was at a quiz in Modern School Barakhamba Road The quizmaster showed us a lady's photo, asking us to identify her. I was the only girl in a room of 500 boys & only I knew it was supermodel Ujjwala Raut. But I didn't answer. (1/10) I watched as other teams didn't answer, passed, or (wrongly) guessed names of famous women. "It's Ujjwala Raut," I said to my teammate, who logically told me to answer if I was so sure. I told him no. I'm sure it's her, but YOU answer. He looked at me questioningly...
