Finally had the chance to look at the booster data over time I FOIAd along with vax rates and am left with a great big WTF.
A thread with lots of excel screenshots and charts. Are you in for a wild ride? Let's go.
History: I wanted to compare b/t cases from the breakthrough case reports to vax rates over time. So I put in a FOIA request asking for fully vaxed of total population preferably daily, but weekly was ok with booster shots laid out the same way. 2.5 months later, I get an excel.

Washington State has been lying about vaccination rates. Until recently, rates have been far far lower than has been reported.
A thread with proof.
Here's a chart of vax rate data from WA Dept of Health obtained through FOIA. They provided vax rates by total population. I have subtracted ineligible populations as appropriate, using the same source they used for population metrics (OFM population data for 2020).

It's Wednesday! And you know what that means! In the week of April 3 - April 9, Washington State is reporting 4,412 breakthrough cases!
This represents 73% of the total cases found in the epicurve download! Could this mean that WA is actually CURRENT on recording cases? Nahhhh, doubt it.

The prob with @KCPubHealth and @WADeptHealth is that they put all their eggs in the vax basket, to the detriment of everything else. To be fair, they were clearly directed to do so. Yet here was a real opportunity to analyze incoming data, and all they managed to do was lie.
@KCPubHealth@WADeptHealth I was so gobsmacked at the discrepency between FOIA request on vax rates over time and what was disseminated that I actually ASKED them if it was accurate and my reason for asking. I have heard nothing.

HAHAHAH And here we go. King County Outcomes by Vax status.
And for cases.
Once you remove the 467 cases in the 0-4s, you're looking at
54% boosted cases

I just want to say that this is a completely useless report.
Here's why.
doh.wa.gov/sites/default/…1. Like all cases, it relies on being reported. This issue plagues all case numbers.

It's time for the Washington State Breakthrough Report!
This week we report 31,855 cases and 129 deaths.
(This is for the week Jan 30 - Feb 5)
It is not nearly as dramatic as the numbers from the previous week.
Well, King County has updated its outcomes by vax status and we can see exactly why removing case count views is so beneficial to the narrative.
This is last week's view. Data through 2/5
