Since Nov last year I've built and released 3 games in #GodotEngine on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. A proof of concept to help me decide what game engine I want to use as a full time #gamedev for the next 4 years. This time around I used C# and here's how it went 🧵
After each release I check if I have resolved any or all of my major concerns. This time around I wanted to build a more complex project with:
- C#.NET
- Released on both Windows and Mac
- Apple signing and notarization
- Steam integration
- Ink integration
- Runtime font adj

For obvious recent circumstances I finally dedicated hours to properly try out #GodotEngine
As a side project, I rebuilt from the ground up my 2017 mobile app Transomnie (with around 200 000 installs) from Unity to #Godot4.

I went with a full app rewrite to get a nice vertical slice that would be simple enough to complete as a side gig in a reasonable time frame.
