NEW: Days before the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, Palo Alto police got a call. Netflix exec Chris Eberle had killed his partner and locked himself in his home.
Cops raided the house — but found only a confused family inside. Eberle hadn’t lived there in years.
Chris Eberle used the social media handle @ ginger. For the 6’2” redheaded tech exec, it was a semi-ironic nod to what had been a source of childhood teasing.
Then in March 2020, he got a text: "Gonna need @ ginger on Instagram ... Harassment to you and family will start now."
