Thread... Reading @baddiel’s excellent book takes me back to the height of the ‘antisemitism saga’ last year, when so many non-Jewish people - were telling me and my fellow Jews, that what we thought - and knew - was antisemitic, actually wasn’t....
It was crazy-making - and left a feeling of mounting dread. It made me think of several incidents I had growing up - having ‘Yiddo’ shouted at me from passing cars, being sieg-heiled on the bus by a group of skinheads, told I was gonna be ‘taken outside and gassed’...
