Some news: For the past 2 years, we've been working on a really ambitious investigation into Louisville's Police Department. The investigation, which is divided into two separate hours—one about sexual assault, another about search warrants—is finally airing tonight and tomorrow The first part focuses on a pattern of sexual misconduct by officers, and repeated failure of LMPD to take allegations seriously. By not thoroughly investigating complaints, LMPD has allowed problem officers to continue acting unchecked, and in some cases, victimize more women

On Tuesday, we were told Breonna Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover was offered a plea deal, which would have required him to say that Taylor was part of his drug operation. Two Saturdays ago, after renting a Revel scooter, I called the company to complain about a problem I’d noticed with several bikes. I told them I thought someone was going to get killed. Turns out that was only a few hours before someone died while riding one of their scooters 1/7 On several occasions, and most recently on that afternoon, I’d found myself on a scooter where the accelerator would just drop out. Want to know why almost no info is being released about Breonna Taylor's death? Let me tell you a story about the time (yesterday) the public info officer for Louisville Metro Police Department made up a section of Open Records Law and then tried to act like it didn't happen 1/9 On July 11th I sent a detailed records request for info relevant to Breonna Taylor's case. On July 15th I got a response asking for clarification on 2 items (out of more than 10). I responded the following day (July 16th), and followed up on Tuesday (July 21st). No response. 2/9
