A great founder doesn't need to get hung up on being the CEO forever.

The number of people who can go from ‘idea stage’ to ‘business’ is much smaller than the number of people who can make great CEOs of late stage companies.

For the most part I'd argue that founders don't build companies by accident. Certain conditions or attributes make them uniquely qualified to build their company.
Founder <-> market fit
Founder <-> problem fit
Founder <-> product fit
What am I missing?
Founder <-> market fit
- temperament: different markets suit different types of people
- domain knowledge: you're uniquely qualified to build a category leading business in this particular market
