So. Did I enjoy watching #TheRiseOfSkywalker? Well, yes. Almost every scene is funny or exciting or genuinely moving.

Do I absolutely hate the story they assembled those scenes to tell? OH HECK YEAH. This is a movie that so desperately wants to please its audience, it ends up being viciously cruel to its characters, denying them either happy endings or the catharsis of satisfying character arcs.
