ASCAP/BMI blanket licenses cover the broadcast license for audio recordings and live performances. They are NOT a substitute for sync license. /1 @MaxMcGuireTX @celinedion Sync license is required whenever sound is synched to picture, as in the case of a film or a music video. ASCAP/BMI blanket licenses don't cover these and the reason I know this is because nightclubs with blanket license have been sued over this exact same issue. /2
