A few days ago, @kottipillar, @researchagain, and many others began noticing promoted Russian-language ads showing up in their Twitter feeds. Clicking on this promoted link brings up a tweet promoting a Russian taxi service.

The link appears to go to the website city-mobil(.)ru.

I've been taking a deeper look at some of the companies that handle voter registration data and systems.

I'll start with VR Systems in Tallahassee FL. That name may be familiar because that company was the object of an attack by Russian hackers in August 2016.
