7. Hatred
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us what we already know - that murder is wrong - but he follows that up by saying that anyone who has harbored hatred towards someone has committed murder in his heart. 5. Gluttony/Coveting
This sin is closely related to pride. We bury ourselves in debt in order to make sure we have the best and newest things. The disciples often lived off of the generosity of others and Jesus was a poor carpenter. I’m not saying that wealth is inherently bad. It’s not. If you can afford that Mercedes, by all means, buy it. But if you can’t; if you are spending hundreds of dollars each month paying off debt, then you could be committing a modern form of gluttony. 3. Fear/Worry
Jesus is very clear about worrying. He flat-out tells us not to worry. Faith requires trust. 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear. . .” God is love. He loved us enough to send his son to die to atone for our sins. His love is perfect; therefore, we should have nothing to fear. I know fear is inevitable sometimes. It is a major struggle for me. As a pastor,
Studying the ministries of Moses and Joshua gives you a lot to ponder upon.
I mean...A WHOLE LOT.

While both ministers did enjoy same supernatural backing, in manifold experiences in the power of God and angelic helps,
the difference was in the leaders and the congregations they had.
Something as seemingly "little" as that, made a major difference!

While Moses had leaders who at different times weren't of the same mind with him..
Leaders who attempted to pull the rug from under his feet...

A lesson I learnt during the last holidays

I draw lessons a lot via observation .

During the last festive season I observed a couple of instructive things ,some of which I shared during our last workers meeting in the church I serve as pastor

I had cause to visit airports and noticed it was busy and active because those who managed it weren't on holidays or in a festive mood,in fact the security men were at utmost diligence .

Also ,I observed Doctors and health workers had to be at their beats ,they had no luxury of jollification whilst all

A few things to bear in mind on Facebook and theology ..

Firstly ,you need not read talk, less comment on another's posts ,except when tagged it can't be an intrusion into your privacy

Secondly ,you and any poster have the same advantage of space. Simply proceed to your wall and put out your own submission ,coming on people's walls to write articles when you hardly do so on yours is tokenism and cheap populism

Thirdly ,it's not ideal to tag others on another wall inorder to engage in a debate ,it's highly distracting ,the poster may not want such
