Six seconds is enough time to deploy a Ram Air Turbine (RAT) that can deliver adequate electrical power needed to keep engines running and avionics operating to ensure a safe landing at the nearest airport. Sounds good on paper.

A thread on Russian Bombs.... Nomenclature used on Russian Bombs could be confusing even for fighter pilots who drop them regularly. Here's a thread on some basics....
Most Russian bomb nomenclatures would have AB embedded in it. eg: FAB, OFAB, ODAB, BetAB, KAB etc. AB stands for Avia Bomba which translates to Aerial Bomb.
