Today's little inclusivity tip for managers and leaders:

Your Slack probably has custom emoji for certain people, right? Who's got their own emoji? Who doesn't? Think about what this could be saying to people unintentionally. Image It's a tiny thing, but can lead to people feeling left out when they see emoji reactions with other people's faces but never their own. For some people, even if you want to, it's 'egotistical' to make your own. So they don't.

(Thread follows) You know that work I’ve tweeted about lately that I was really excited about? I’d got to the last (3rd) round, done a ton of documentation and pitch prep, and even spent some of my weekend making them a little bonus data vis. I didn’t get the project. Really gutted. 😞
