Secret Tips: FOR MEN !

[Straight from the depths of Hades]

- How to play the game on steroids…

- What chess can teach you about life…

- AND why you NEED a queen for extra playing strength…

Brace yourself…this will be a long one.

———————

Nobody will tell you this…

But playing the game at the highest level = ultra selfish + vengeful.

Selflessness is the mask you wear to appeal to the public.

Forgiveness does not exist in the dictionary. Every injury is repaid.

A lot of people don’t understand that this is how the game is played at the highest level.

I’ll get to the details, but…

FIRST A LITTLE STORY:

When I was learning to play chess my instructor and I had a certain memorable game.

That game stuck with me because he said something I can’t seem to forget till today.

While we were playing he slipped and I snatched a pawn.

He had stood up to grab something real quick and missed a small tactical motif that allowed me to take a free pawn.

His eyes lit up and he said:

“You’ll pay for that!”

I kept wondering why he was so upset. He had beaten me ever since he started teaching me. At that time, I’d never even gotten a draw. Also, then I didn’t think a pawn was much. Him losing JUST A PAWN shouldn’t make him worry.

Anyway, he went on to absolutely destroy me in the game and had his laugh.

I noticed he started playing more aggressively and his calculations got deeper. I couldn’t understand what was going on anymore.

At the end of this piece I’ll explain what that statement he made signifies.

LET’S START WITH A CHESS ANALOGY:

The best way to interpret the game of life is to play chess. Chess is a cheat code to life because it emulates exactly how the game is played. The same way you play chess is the same way you play life. You can win. You can lose. You can draw.

Draw is THE MIDDLE.

Your life is not that good. But it’s not that bad either.

Losing is dying in the game.
Winning is getting ultra rich.

Simple.

I hate draws.

Now let’s get to chess basics.

When you teach someone to play chess, you’ll explain the piece valuation (without this you haven’t completed the introduction phase).

You’ll tell them that:

- The Queen is worth 9 pawns.
- The Rook is worth 5 pawns.
- The Bishop and Knight an approximate 3 to 3.5 depending on the positioning.

- The pawn is the first unit of value and strength of team. It’s worth 1 pawn.

AND finally The King is INVALUABLE.

He cannot be taken otherwise the game ends.

The King leads. Without him the team cannot function. He brings all the other pieces together for a coordinated attack.

You’ll also teach them about centre control and piece positioning.

So what happens after you teach them how the pieces move and how the game is played?

Here, there is a noticeable ‘progress chart’ on player behaviour as they improve.

I’ll lay out the specific behaviour pattern going from 1200 - 2500 (lichess rating format).

The smart ones learn fast and they improve faster. But every player follows the same pattern.

Stage 1: 1200 - 1700

The player gives pieces freely and cares very little for ‘square control.’

The pawns are usually the first to go.

They bring out their queen early and lose her very often.

Their greatest weakness will be in the endgame because the player fights it ALL in the middle and if they fail there, that’s it.

Little long term planning.

If you can take them to the endgame, you’ve killed their playing strength by at least HALF.

At the lower rating range, the players give their queen out easily and trade pieces without hesitation.

At the upper rating range, the players trade a bit more strategically and blunder their queen less.

But if you set up a trap for them, they’ll usually not see it and blunder her. Note that in life as in chess, your queen CAN be taken.

If you don’t play her strategically and

This is the Beginner Stage.

The next stage is 1800 - 2000. Stage 2: 1800 - 2000

Players within this rating range have learned that:

- Giving out your queen must bring immense returns.

- You only sacrifice the queen STRATEGICALLY and when it is UNAVOIDABLE or the SUREST way to win.

- Also to avoid trading your queen early because she’s a very valuable asset. Without a queen your playing strength is cut in half.

They’ve also learned to stop giving free pawns and try to take up more space.

Players here usually reach good draws and won’t win unless the stronger opponent uses a forceful tactical play to kill them off.

So playing normal moves won’t do. You have to strangle them.

They are INTERMEDIATE players.

Stage 3: 2100 - 2200

Players here rarely blunder their queen. They’ve understood the valuation of the pieces and the value of each and how to utilise these pieces to win.

They know where to place each piece and understand the need for a definite plan.

They are aggressive. They sacrifice A LOT. Their endgame is good, but their opening usually lacks fireworks.

These are EXPERT players.

At this level, things like blundering pawns and giving the opponent too much space has have been dealt with.

They player also does not engage in any trade that does not benefit them. However, there is a still a noticeable weakness here.

The expert player’s biggest weakness is usually LONG TERM planning.

They either play the game FOR the endgame - in which case they rush the middle game (because the decision to move to the endgame is usually made in the middle game)…

OR…

They play really hard in the middle and if they don’t win, they lose WITHOUT ever reaching the endgame.

Their endgame is solid. But they don’t play the middle with the endgame in hindsight. If you find one who does, they have a stronger understanding of the game.

Stage 4: 2300 - 2500

Once you reach this rating level you’re GM strength.

Every chess player tries to mimic GM playing styles and decision making because they bring the best results.

Why?

Because a GM would crush any non-GM with ease.

So obviously they are doing it right.

Here there are a few things that are quintessential to the behavior of players:

1. Players NEVER bring their Queen out early.

The first queen move will be an attack. It’s a sharp move. Calculated. Zero contemplations.

If a defense is needed usually a different piece will be used.

A Queen move is worth 10 minor piece moves because she packs so much power.

2. Players never give free pieces. Every piece taken must be accounted for.

Every exchange must leave your position BETTER.

Not the same; BETTER !

Your position must improve if you’re trading, otherwise don’t trade.

3. Players are now most concerned about ‘Square-Control.’

This is the number one thing on their mind at all times.

“How much square do I control?”

This is very vital in the analogy. I’ll get to it later.

4. Players play the opening calmly.

They are less aggressive. They think THE MOST in the opening.

Because the opening determines the structure of the playing field.

Fuck up in the opening and the whole game is fucked.

You can’t win.

5. Players have a solid endgame.

They play every stage with the endgame in mind.

So also in regard to exchanges and being beneficial, even pawn exchanges have to be beneficial.

When players exchange pawns they also take into consideration how that affects their pawn structure.

The pawn structure isn’t always gonna affect the middle game but it is VITAL in the endgame.

One thing noticeable with most lower rated players is how little concern they have for their pawn structure.

More on that later.

Building charisma requires controlling your emotions AT ALL TIMES.

Don’t get angry and burst out. Don’t get emotional and say something stupid.

Be in full control of your emotions. If other people can make you feel a certain way without your consent, they have control over you. You alone should be the determinant of how you feel.

Are they trying to get you angry? Do the opposite, make humor out of it.

Are they trying to make you feel sad? Guilty? Don’t let them.

Think clearly and respond intelligently.

One mistake older generations make is the assumption that the younger generation will remain young forever.

It’s almost as if watching those they saw as kids age doesn’t make any sense to them.

With the amount of information available now, growth is more rapid than ever. Perhaps not always in the right direction, but those who were 10 a decade ago are now 20.

Most parents, caregivers, and even older relatives who will be around won’t acknowledge this growth easily.

This is why many struggle with transitioning into adulthood.

“Why can’t we all just decide to live peacefully and love each other and not resent others and NOT feel oppressed even when there is no oppression?”

Because we are humans. You can either choose to be peaceful and powerless, thereby risking your peace being taken by another or you can become a monster and impose peace; otherwise you exercise your monstrosity.

Peasantry is what keeps under-developed societies from making progress and what causes far advanced societies to collapse.

There are many facets of being a peasant.

Entitlement
Dependency
Incompetence
Low IQ behavior When the peasants start to have more influence than the intellectuals, or manage to push their narratives and agenda (by some miracle) a nation’s collapse is accelerated.

If the nation is still under-developed, growth is stunted.

Elites build. Peasants tear down.

The biggest mistake you can make as an intelligent person is to take the opinion of a stupid person seriously.

Once you pick up that someone doesn’t like thinking, stay away from them.

People say think less and do more, and while that is important for certain things… It’s not a generally winning strategy.

To get ahead in life you have to think.

How else will you know what issues there are in your life and how you can fix them?

In chess, the game starts as a draw.

In life we are all conceived human. Equal. But that is exactly where equality ends.

Understand this.

When we are born, our statuses are determined. If you were born to a King, you’re royalty.

Born to a peasant farmer, guess what…. Your current station in life does not have to remain the same. This is what ambition can do for you - change that.

Understand that if you were born to poor parents you’re already losing by 1. Born in a third world country with terrible economic conditions, losing by 2.
