Mayoral stuff is… ugh. Looking at @ShaunLoney platform, specifically reducing police spending by having them pay non-profits for the value of workload reduction. My questions is… how?! Council can’t dictate what WPS spend their $ on, just how much they have. 1/ As @bkives and @WpgPoliceHarm have pointed out. This sounds like the potential to overload already overloaded orgs. This, to me, fundamentally doesn’t do anything to deal with the root issues of policing. @ShaunLoney why this? 2/
