This is all, of course, bollocks.
The facts: 1. Dr Cass is a paediatrician. She is experienced in these sorts of reviews. The assurance group contains experts from bioethics & medical law to children’s engagement and advocacy. 2. The review did not have pre-determined outcomes.
3. Considerable outreach was done to obtain input from patients and their families. 4. Trans people were not excluded from the review team. It’s not clear what people whose only qualification is being trans could have inputted that the extensive outreach couldn’t.
