I had to go get a mammogram today. I’m high-risk for breast cancer (& Covid), so I brought my air purifier with me back and forth to all offices and waiting rooms and mammogram rooms and ultrasound room. (I had a call back, so it was a lot of rooms). No one batted an eye. But 1/
my breast specialist looked at it and asked me if it’s a pain to lug around. I told her, “No. It’s better than getting Covid. And since no one masks anymore…” And then she responded “We don’t mask anymore because we don’t have to, but Covid is very serious.” It won’t really 2/

Just had to send an email notifying the amazing specialized art school that my daughter worked so hard to get into that she won’t be attending. When we applied last year, vaccines were touted as magical shields and mask mandates were in place. Since then, our state has banned 🧵

🧵 Did I ever tell you about the time my kids got lice at school? I didn’t? Well, sit right down. It was the week of March 9, 2020. Whispers of a new virus were getting louder and toilet paper was about to go extinct. I got a call from the school that one of my sons had lice and
I needed to come get him. It had been going around in my twins’ grade. The nurse was going to pull my other two kids out of class and check them, too, before I got there. I think she only saw clear evidence of it on two of the three kids, but it made no sense to leave one of🧵
