I call Lorna "My Lorna" because the day we met we looked at each other across the room during a panel discussion and smiled as if we were planning a secret thing.😊 And when we later said hello, we hugged each other for so long and said we are each other's 💛 Conversations with her were like going to a lush place with greenery and overflowing goodness because Lorna made you feel all the wondrousness.

She literally took charge of my doubts, pushed me, cried with me, created time for me and got me in rooms where I could be the sun

So, the CS for gaslighting is moving as if it's young peeps who've been vibing with COV when the over fifty-something-year-olds, been galivanting in massive political rallies during a pandemic! This narrative of blame youth for old peoples mistakes is 🚮 Have they forgotten, it was a young person who was arrested and harassed for flagging a China flight landing in Kenya from what was back then a hotspot for COV, when the old folk directly responsible were unbothered about the health of Kenyans?

4 thousand girls in Machakos county have been RAPED and ended up pregnant in the past 4months, meaning one thousand girls were RAPED in a span of 30 days but somehow in this tragedy parents are being blamed instead of the actual RAPISTS!

Do leaders understand rape culture? 1. Do they understand that RAPE is a crime and not a moral, religious or parenting flaw, in fact, this is the VERY foundation of RAPE culture, where we pile the responsibility of RAPE on everyone and everything else apart from the RAPIST?

I'm ready for when conversations about youth and work will involve actual youth (not youthful-looking type people) but YOUTH doing the work together with those people who don't actually hate young people. I'm so tired of sensationalist speakers who speak from privilege. When someone actually says a young person got seed capital of 600k to buy his first car to join uber I mean!? How many Kenyan parents can afford this? How realistic is the success story being painted when uber drivers be striking all the damn time?

Nairobi Passport application process begins at dawn 🤨 a night runners marathon
Collection process another marathon 😥 surely, is there anything humane about this process? Why is this a survivor episode WHY?Are ppl too many, are workers few, are computers slow what is it??😩😵😬 We really need to stop accepting this kind of service where you waste a whole day to get just one thing done in a public office. This isn't what service is supposed to be it's not professional in any kind of way.

Theft of public funds is a serious thing its price is so high but you know what, I am minding my own because when people like me have walked around minding and caring and trying with all our might to shun this crime we were called foreign paid activists, idlers, attention seekers I am minding my own because when the state singled us out for being loud and bold and courageous we found ourselves alone struggling because what we were doing wasn't appealing it was inconveniencing your everyday lives.

Let's talk about KE boarding schools & why I walked out of my Catholic school without permission in broad daylight *they call it sneaking* 😡 Cleanliness, food & congestion was largely kinda properly managed Our biggest problem was teacher-student-parent relationship which was ZERO
