I’ve been doing this local news thing for 12+ years at this point and for the first time I think I know how it’s going to shake out 🧵 First, let’s clarify that local news is not a monolith. There are distinct types of outlets that are not interchangeable: statewide, regional/metro, city, community/neighborhood. This is going to focus on the latter three.
