LED doesn't have to be bad light, but I think one of the unfortunate realities is that the physical limitations of older lighting technologies often led to better design.
On the top of my mind now: traditional recessed lighting vs. flat LED pucks.
Incandescent recessed lighting had to be literally recessed into the ceiling — the incandescent flood light was tall, and it would hang out if surface mounted. Because of the need to make room for the bulb, it was easy to give another inch or two to retract the surface.

After a year of public input and several iterations, the Richfield Transportation Commission will be considering a recommendation of the Nicollet Ave layout next week!
This project will transform a mile and a half of this important community corridor. Here are some details 🧵
The closest similar design in Richfield today is 66th Street east of Portland Avenue. This is a similar concept — a mix of center turn lane and median, a boulevard with trees, and a one-way protected bike lane next to the sidewalk.

We rarely talk about parking in terms of tradeoffs, so of course most people want more parking. Why wouldn't you?

This is a thread about how awful this chair design is and why people should stop buying them.
The worst issue is that the side bars prevent all but the narrowest of hips from passing, so for most adult bodies, you have these things digging into your love handles and your spine has zero support.
The actual back rest is inexplicably several inches back.
