This is a great opportunity to educate those who don't follow the EV industry as close. Here's a thread on why the US grid will be fine:

1) Grids can and will adapt to growing demand. They've done it for DECADES as customer needs have increased. More: eia.gov/energyexplaine… 2) Most charging takes place at home, where electrical sources already exist. For long distance travel, a national fast charging infrastructure exists today and continues to expand. Here are @Tesla and @ElectrifyAm's nation wide network.

Thread: If Tesla is the market leader in EV sales, even with owners knowing there is a 10-20% haircut on highway driving range vs EPA estimates, does it really matter? It would seem your opinion of Tesla not having an advantage is in the minority. It is my opinion you are focused on the wrong metrics, making a mountain out of a molehill. Though range driving range is important to EPA estimate is important on some levels, it is not stopping people from buying the vehicles. Further...

Thread: Regarding Tesla's "range discrepancy" @EconomicManBlog says they have - the way EPA tests vehicles is terribly antiquated, especially for EVs. Most automakers test on 2 cycle, Tesla on a 5 cycle. This gives Tesla a better "stated" range. Video: . EPA does not test how people typically drive today. See how they test here: fueleconomy.gov/feg/fe_test_sc…. Real world driving is subjective because everyone drives differently. Almost no one drives solely on the highway at highway speeds, which is how most test "real world range".

A #FSDBeta thread: Executive Summary - 1) I have been an @Tesla FSD skeptic for many years, largely unimpressed by Autopilot/FSD's claims versus its abilities. This beta appears to be a marked improvement and far more inline with those claims than previous iterations. 2) Safety.. is paramount and should not be overlooked. Within the context of Tesla's approach to FSD objectives it appears they HAVE taken steps to ensure owner safety of those in the beta program. 3) Most of what I've seen from $tslaq so far around this matter appears to be

Thread about Martin Tripp and his recent threats and doxxing: When I first read this email from Martin Tripp I thought it was doctored. Who would think to send such an extreme email full of physical threats to anyone, I thought. Sure enough, Tripp himself posted the email on his website. This is also the individual who has fired his legal counsel and is now pro se against Tesla. My intent is not to take issue with being represented by a legal professional versus self-representing but rather the combative, threatening approach he has taken

My SB167 testimony in full: My name is Sean Mitchell. I’m here as a resident of Colorado and head of a 1000+ member Colorado EV club. In my spare time I also create content around the EV industry online. I’ve now driven or seen in person every major EV on the market or soon to be including the Porsche Taycan, Ford Mach-E, Jaguar I-Pace, Chevy Bolt, Rivian R1T and R1S, and Tesla Model Y and Cybertruck, to name a few. I’d like to share why I think this bill supports free market and consumer choice. At the Air Quality Control Commission hearing in May of
