I think FIUMI is basically pithy advice for a few set of useful heuristics and behaviors - things like speed, decisiveness, being confident you can add value, taking a seat at the table, not groveling, taking a more expansive viewpoint, etc.
@stopachka FIUMI is useful because it prompts a lot of correct behaviors; i.e., you're more likely to pick up the check when someone more established than you goes out to lunch with you and is helpful, and then you'll be more likely to be casually grateful about it.

I think there's going to be something of a revolution in people understanding their cognitive defaults and styles over the next 10 years.
There's already a lot of good information available on the topic — albeit most of it is disconnected, unsynthesized, and not easy to reference or use for self-study and self-analysis.
