This HUGE thread will discuss: 1. The blockade on Gaza. 2. Gaza's food demands against what it gets. 3. Earlier UN/IPC reports. 4. Lies and propaganda by Hamas. 5. The Level 5 Famine report. 6. Media coverage. 7. Starvation deaths.
2/23 WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
This is a huge thread, providing enormous amounts of evidence and discussion about the food situation in Gaza, together with connected threads. You will find an extensive summary of everything in this thread on the last page (23/23).
Since October 7 2023 Israel has been accused of: 1. Imposing an illegal blockade against Gaza. 2. Preventing humanitarian agencies from delivering aid into Gaza. 3. Deliberately starving civilians, both in policy and in practice. 4. Using hunger as a “weapon of war”. 5. Causing a man-made famine “worse than anything in modern history”.
These claims have been repeated everywhere on the internet, but also by NGOs, UN rapporteurs, activist groups and many journalists. This often happens without verification, discussion of logistical problems, or full context to the story. When you look at all the data critically, a very different picture about the food crisis in Gaza emerges.
The food situation in Gaza is not what many headlines say it is. The whole famine narrative collapses when all the facts are examined and the accusations against Israel rely heavily on assumptions, misquotes, selective data. This thread will prove all of this.
Let’s break it all down...
