entire-ass tenured professors screaming their heads off about "a majority of democrats and republicans want medicare for all and yet we are denied it, this is already not a democracy, therefore vote fash" makes me really regret NOT going for academia tbh
if they can fucking cut it there I ABSOLUTELY could have done
(i know that this is inaccurate, b/c the arbiter of success in academia, as far as i have been able to figure out, is willingness to subjugate your perception of reality to what the cool kids are saying)

my contribution to Loab Studies is this: if you ask Midjourney for something facelike, but WITHOUT qualities of HUMANness or PERSONness, e.g. "face::5 human::-2 person::-2", Loaboid traits emerge inexorably from the image
also, you can generate Loaboid nonhumans by a known Loabiferous negative-weight string and then, like, "cat" or "dog" or something
I'm not sure I recommend doing it, but it's a thing that a person can do

@sirus222 I think a lot of it is this romanticized urge to Grow Your Own Food and Do Things As A Community and like... I have a fairly elaborate hydroponic garden! if my body let me I'd spend more time at the local community garden! they're cool! they're not an answer to capitalism tho
