This homeless stability site was supposed to be finished by the start of the ban, it was not. The near by camp was not supposed to be swept until the site was full (50 spots for 90 people), it was. The tents were supposed to be waterproof, they weren't. The tarps don't cover the tents. The canopies that were supposed to be up by Friday, werent.
Their belongings are still soaked, and they have been told they can use the dryer at the mission, for one load, but have no transportation

New racist group has formed and has begun stalking and harassing Roma families. Making claims that they are squaters or that all panhandlers and "scamers" are the same "gyspy family".
Going from town to town as a mob to pull people out of homes ImageImageImage To be clear, I do not know if the families are or are not Roma. But they are being targeted by the group for the assumption that they are "all the same gypsies" and for their physical appearance (read: not white)

Bar staff in pioneer square were pulling folks in and closing the doors due to visible police excessive force.
Police walked up, tried to open the locked doors. Placed tear gas cans under the doors... Denny was the official border of downtown. Folks lined the sidewalks outside of the hurricane as one of the only businesses left open next to bus routes out of down town.
The staff constantly brought out pitchers of water so people could wash the pepper spray off their faces.
