271 years ago on this day the warrior Kallar community battled the White rulers who were strealing the chakrathazhvar and other idols from Thirumoguhur temple and recovered the idols handed back to Brahmins. Thousands of kallar died in the war. Image This remained oral tradition. My friend Kalaimani Ambalam spent 3 years at the East India co archives, studied all records. He & historian Marudhumogan wrote a book on Kallar' freedom fight. The PMO studied that book and cleared it. The PM is likely to release it soon

My last meeting with Iravatham Mahadevan. He used to call me his colleague in pursuit of truth. We always disagree on his view Indus valley as pre Vedic. In 1978 When we were looking at an Indus seals he said "Guru this matches with Somapana Yagna in Rig Veda" Image He submitted his finding as a paper in an epigraphist meet in Tokyo in 1983. Some media has reported I had apologised and the case was closed on that basis. The fact is: As my tweet asking whether justice muralidhar was P chidambaram's junior could have hurt him, i had said in 2018 i regret his hurt. But refused to apologise as it was not contempt. 1/3 I was summoned to the chamber of Justice Mrudul 4 years back. I told the same thing that it was no contempt. I will fight the case. As I had a strong case in law I refused to apologise. Complaints kept taking adjournments for 4 years. Finally court told them argue the case

People who talk about undeclared Emergency do not know what is Emergency. It is not Emergency if it is not declared, Fundamental rights not suspended, censorship imposed on media, Opposition leaders arrested, Courts are maimed, judges transferred against their will. The Hindu has been shamed again. They attempted on 27 May to deny Sengol as transfer of power symbol but the adheenam forced them retract by citing it's own records. Again they made a similar attempt by misquoting the adheenakarta, which has been smashed by the Adheenam The Hindu attempt is unprofessional because it has not looked at Annex IV of the govt docket which is Adheenams version that Sengol was given to Mtbatten, given Gangajal Abhishekam & given to Nehru. Being forced to eat a humble pie then this time it has attempted a new trick

We were quite capable of handling of even extreme dangers to democracy like an emergency even though the judiciary let us down Nothing like what Nehru did to put unreasonable restraint on freedom, to prevent judicial review has been attempted now. Nothing like horrible emergency to destroy democracy press or judiciary is even possible today. Nothing like Rajeev's infamous defamation law is on cards
