Shankaragaurishvara temple,Pattan,Kashmir.
Built by Shankaravarman (Utpala dynasty) who ruled b/w 883-902A.D. It has similar architecture as of Shankaracharya Temple.Shankarvarman established his capital at Shankarapattana ,present day Pattan .Apart 4m this temple he built Another temple next to it in honour of his wife& named it Sugandhesa Temple after his wife Sughandha who also ruled 4m 904-906 after death of her husband & sons.Both the temples r dedicated to Shiva.The temple's main entrance is 4m east as per Hindu temple architecture.

Amaranth cave situated at an altitude of 3,888 m is considered 1of the holiest shrines in Hinduism .Located in Distt Anantnag ,Kashmir it is surr by snow clad mountains,the cave also remains covered wth snow during most of the year except for a few summer months It is one of the 51 Shakti peeths .There is for formation of ice lingam inside the cave &2 smaller ice stalagmites which represent Parvati & Ganesh.Legend has it that Parvati wanted to known the secret of immortality from Shiva ,so he chose this cave& left Nandi at Pahalgam

Martand Sun Temple
Martand in Sanskrit means Sun God,was dedicated to Surya ,built by Lalitaditya Mukhtapida (3rd ruler of Karkota Empire) in 8the century CE.The foundation of the temple was laid as early as370-500CE by Ranaditya.
