“As President of the Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation and Chair of the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies Community Advisory Board, I would like to take a moment to respond to UCLA anti-Israel protesters calling for the boycott of the Nazarian Center for Israel Studies. My family's journey, fleeing extremism and antisemitism during the Iranian Revolution, and the welcome and opportunity we received in both the US and in Israel after, have profoundly influenced our world view and commitment to give back.

1. The presence of Iranian VP of Economic Affairs, Moshen Rezaei, at the inauguration of Nicaraguan autocrat Daniel Ortega is an afront to the people of Argentina and the 85 victims of the AMIA terror attack in Buenos Aires. 2. Rezaei, the subject of an Interpol Red Alert notice freely traveled to the region & instead of being apprehended, was hailed as an honorable guest alongside the autocratic presidents of Venezuela & Cuba, who also have committed grave human rights abuses against their citizens.
