With @ScotHWCoalition &many concerned experts& advocacy groups, I have written to @scotgov @online_his &NHS leaders, raising serious concerns about withdrawal of facemasks in Scottish health &social care and demanding introduction of protections from airborne COVID transmission🧵 We present the clear evidence that the decision of @scotgov, which came into effect on 16th May, to "withdraw extended use of face masks across health and social care" is dangerous, flawed, and contrary to the law, and that enhanced protections for patients & staff are needed
